Josh Beniek

My story is all about growth—from humble beginnings to real results. At 15, I started selling used shoes from thrift stores with my younger brother. We cleaned them, listed them on eBay, and learned the ropes of business by doing. Over time, that hustle evolved into Highest Official, a sneaker and streetwear brand that I scaled to over $1.1 million in revenue by the age of 19.

This journey has been raw, real, and filled with both wins and setbacks—like getting scammed out of $15,000 worth of shoes and having to close our physical store in our hometown of Barrington. But through it all, we kept growing. We went from flipping one pair at a time to selling at major conventions and supplying inventory to buyers across the globe.

I’d love for the episode to highlight not just the financial growth, but the personal growth—what it took mentally, emotionally, and physically to build something from scratch at a young age. This story is proof that age, background, or capital shouldn’t define what’s possible when you’re willing to bet on yourself.
