In his youth, he aspired to leave a lasting legacy, to build something monumental that would stand the test of time. Like the character in Allen Seeger’s poem, he sought to carve his name into eternity. But as the years passed, his vision shifted. Fame and grandeur no longer held the same allure. Instead, he found fulfillment in simpler joys—enriching the lives of those around him. This led to the purchase of the Grand Mesa Lodge, where he could immerse himself in meaningful work, surrounded by employees, customers, and the community. Now, his focus is on living fully, appreciating the beauty of the mountains and the relationships that truly matter.
